Sparky Wiki

Sparky is based on Debian GNU/Linux so you have access to the one of the biggest Linux Repositories. In addition, Sparky provides it's own Repositories, which offers our own tools, Desktops and other packages for different tasks.

Most desktops can be installed straight from the Debian Repositories.

A few home roasted 3rd party Desktops: (CDE, Enlightenment, Jade, Lumina, Manokwari) can be installed from Sparky Repositories.

Other 3rd party Desktops: Pantheon, Trinity can be installed via Sparky tools only, using 3rd party Repositories.

Sparky provides tools which lets you quickly and easily install various desktops such as: awesome, bspwm, Budgie, Cinnamon, Enlightenment, Fluxbox, GNOME Flashback, GNOME Shell, i3, IceWM, jade, JWM, KDE Plasma 5, Lumina, LXDE, LXQt, MATE, Openbox, Pantheon, PekWM, Trinity, Window Maker, Xfce.

They are available via Sparky MinimalGUI/CLI ISO images using the Advanced Installer; or Sparky APTus → Desktop section; or installed in addition to an existing desktop.
