It is a small tool which lets you install a deb package from your local disk, and reinstall or remove it as well. It uses Yad to display all messages.
It can be used as an alternative for GDebi-GTK or GDebi-KDE.
sudo apt update sudo apt install debi-tool
1. Right click on a deb package → Open with DEBiTool Package Installer (or set it as a default tool to open deb files); or
2. Menu→ System→ DEBiTool→ choose a deb file from your local drive; or
3. From a command line:
debi-tool your-package.deb
