Sparky is offered in four different categories:

• Full Editions - with all the tools, codecs, plugins and drivers preinstalled,

• MinimalGUI Edition - with minimal set of tools – for advanced users to start with a minimal GUI,

• MinimalCLI Edition - text based edition for advanced users to build the desktop of their choice,

• Special Edition - GameOver, Multimedia, and Rescue, are for different, specialized uses.

Full Editions are offered in three desktop environments: Xfce, LXQt, and LXDE and are ready to use as soon as they are installed. For users who want to have everything ready and working.

MinimalGUI Edition is built with the Openbox window manager, and Tint2 taskbar. A select few programs and tools are included.

MinimalCLI Edition has no X server preinstalled and works in text mode only. Can be used to build any desktop on the top of Debian as you like.

GameOver Edition features a lightweight desktop, a very large number of preinstalled games, useful tools and scripts. It's targeted at gamers.

Multimedia Edition features a large set of tools for creating and editing graphics, audio, video and HTML pages.

Rescue Edition is an operating system which works in live DVD/USB mode only. The Live system contains a large set of tools for scanning and fixing files, partitions and operating systems installed on hard drives.
