Skype is a telecommunications application software product that specializes in providing video chat and voice calls from computers, tablets, and mobile devices via the Internet to other devices or telephones/smartphones.

Sparky's Skype OnLine installer is a script which lets you:

• download Skype package from the project server and install it in your system (32 and 64 bit)
• remove Skype and all its dependencies from your system
• install PulseAudio and Pavucontrol (PulseAudio Volume Control) if they are not installed in your system yet. They are required for Skype.

Installation:

 sudo apt-get install skype-installer

Then launch the installer from Menu→ Internet (or Network)→ Skype Installer.
