LightScribe Installer

LightScribe is an optical disc recording technology, created by the Hewlett-Packard Company, that uses specially coated recordable CD and DVD media to produce laser-etched labels with text or graphics, as opposed to stick-on labels and printable discs.

What do you need to use the LightScribe technology?

The Sparky's LightScribe OnLine installer lets you download and install all needed components to enable LightScribe technology on your machine running SparkyLinux.

Installation:

 sudo apt-get install lightscribe-installer

Then run the installer GUI from the system's Menu→ Graphics→ 4L-GUI

The Sparky's Installer installs 32 bit LightScribe packages on 32 or 64 bit systems.

1. Run the default program interface provided by LightScribe, by the command:

 ./SimpleLabeler

2. Run the second program provided by Lacie, reloading (running again) the Menu→ Graphics→ 4L-GUI
